A person that is identified as Oscar de la Hoya is pictured online in fishnet photos and in panties and pumps. The Golden Boy boxer insists that it is not him in the photos and is threatening legal action against the photo agency that has posted the photos online. A paparazzi agency (X17 Online) has obtained the photos and they claim that they are real.

They have six full color photos posed on their website and despite the threats from attorneys - have refused to take the photos down. At this hour they remain and the scandal continues to be the talk of the boxing and sports world.

So - where did these wild cross-dressing pictures of the wildly popular boxer come from? And how did they wind up on the Internet? According to a source cited by Rush and Molloy of the New York Daily News the photos are being peddled by a Gotham strip club dancer. She reportedly is Scores West dancer, according to R. Couri Hay, the Gotham magazine columnist who scored the first interview with the twenty-something woman.

"She says she took the photos at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia on May 17," Hay tells us. "I fully believe she is telling the truth. She had been reluctant to talk. But now that she's being called a liar, she's ready to sell her story. And, believe me, she has a lot of details."

Oh my! The photos are obviously snapped in a hotel room and show various embarrassing shots. So what does the Golden Boy say? A lawyer for the boxer released the following statement to nightly entertainment television show Access Hollywood:

"Oscar does know the woman who we believe is selling these photographs to the tabloid media. But he assures me that the photos are phony. He has asked me to pursue his legal remedies. Because we are contemplating legal action, Oscar will make no further comment at this time."

X17 has this online: "Regarding the possible Photoshopping of the images – we got a letter from Oscar’s lawyer today and while they’d love us to take down the pix, they didn’t initially dispute their authenticity!" This one may go the full twelve rounds. Photos are here - real or fake?
