Is it Britney Spears little sister Jamie Lynn that is being pushed to the altar? Many believed that the seventeen-year-old Jamie Lynn was pushing her fiancé Casey Aldridge to get married, but a new report from Star Magazine claims that it is Britney Spears' mom that is looking to get Casey and Jamie Lynn married.
A friend tells the weekly entertainment magazine that there just might be a "shotgun wedding" and the insider claims that mom Lynne Spears is really pushing hard to get the two young lovers and soon to be parents married off. At seventeen years of age Jamie Lynn would need permission to marry Casey. Will her mom give her that permission? *** The magazine reports that she is just not quite ready and is looking for a long engagement. But despite her reluctance to make it legal and become Mrs. Aldridge, Jamie Lynn seems to be giving her relationship with Casey, 19, a chance for the sake of their baby, due next month. "And Lynne is pushing her to treat Casey right and make it work," the family insider reveals. Lynne's influence on her daughter seemed clear when Jamie Lynn and Casey - who announced their engagement in March, three months after Jamie Lynn revealed she was pregnant - went shopping together at a mall in McComb, Miss., on May 2, the day before an intimate baby shower. *** "Jamie Lynn really likes Casey, but even she feels she's a little young to be getting married," the family friend admits. But Lynne isn't ready to give up her plan to get Jamie Lynn to marry Casey. "He's a good country boy who Lynne hopes will be a steadying influence on her daughter."
