Has the stage dad of David Archuleta been kicked off American idol? And if he has received the boot is that an advantage for Syesha Mercado and perhaps even David Cook? Both seasons five and six had one girl and one guy in the finals. Could it be David Cook versus Syesha Mercado for an improbable finals match up? Will David Archuleta be in trouble after yet another dad scandal?
This will go one of two ways. There might be some backlash against David Archuleta and his stage dad Jeff. Or his rabid fans will see this a slight to David A. and his ten-year old female fans will text until their fingers bleed. There has already been controversy surrounding the dad and stories have emerged all the way back to the David Archuleta "Star Search" days. he was called the monster dad from "hell" by Naomi Judd who was a judge on "Star Search". *** That story is here. Now the reports claim that Jeff has been kicked off American idol. He can still sit in the audience but the show is fed up with his back stage antics as TMZ reports that he had David change the lyrics to song this week even though the show warned him not to do it. That was enough, he is now reportedly banned from backstage. David has defended his dad before and get this, Dad is his roommate in Hollywood (see story here). This might just be a chance for the show to get some type of controversy going, as frankly this has been one very boring American idol. Many may now hope the finals are Syesha Mercado taking on David Cook. All of our American idol coverage is here and we will stay on top of all of the American idol gossip.
