Will Syesha Mercado shock the Reality TV world? American idol is down to its top three and two of the contestants that remain in the contest are no shock at all. Everyone believed that David Archuleta and David Cook would be here right now and headed for a finals match up but not many believed that Syesha Mercado would make a run at the finals.
But here she is just one week away from making it to the last week of American idol. It would be a major upset if either David Archuleta or David Cook were bounced from American idol this week. But stranger things have happened. Katharine McPhee once made the finals and many believe that she was voted in on cleavage alone. *** Syesha Mercado is beautiful and she has more stage presence than Kat McPhee ever did but she is facing two very popular contestants. Archuleta has an army of young fans that would vote for him if he stood on the stage and did nothing. David Cook has incredible talent and has most of the cross-over voters. But as the last lovely lady standing, Syesha will get the women's vote. More idol news, a new story here notes that David Archuleta's dad has been banned from backstage by the idol producers. According to a report from the Associated Press, they have had it with his meddling ways. Will this give Cook and Mercado the boost they need to rid idol of Archuleta?
