We reported earlier this week that "Two and a Half Men" Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Emmy nominee Jon Cryer, who's lost the award twice to "Entourage's" Jeremy Piven, doesn't expect to take home a statuette this year, either. He expects to lose to Piven again, "or I think this time to Neil Patrick Harris" of "How I Met Your Mother."

So what does Neil think of that? "Wow, that's pretty impressive, coming from another nominee," he says. "I suppose now I should turn around and say I expect him to win." Whom DOES Neil expect to win? He laughs. "Piven."

FLAMING FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The spacey, psychedelic American rock band The Flaming Lips have garnered much critical acclaim and a hardcore following that includes certain celebrity cognoscenti (Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, etc.) over the course of their 20-plus years. But the band never have reached a huge amount of commercial success. Lead singer Wayne Coyne -- who is known for crowd surfing in a large clear plastic sphere -- says he always has been much more interested in the music and the creative pursuit of it than how much fame and fortune he could acquire from it.
"When you love what you do, you don't have to become famous or be the richest guy in the world," he notes. "Those are the qualities that would make you famous in the first place because you're the real deal. I think some groups start off like that and then become less authentic over time."
