The tragic death of Heath Ledger continues to play out as family members try to sort out his estate. Heath's dad Kim Ledger has told a newspaper that Heath's little daughter Matilda will get all of his estate and he says they have 'gifted it to her.' Even with that, Matilda would still be due a huge life insurance policy that was taken out on the actor before his death.

However a report from the Los Angeles Times reports that ReliaStar Life Insurance Co., which wrote Heath Ledger's $10-million life insurance policy just six months before his death, is being sued over failure to promptly pay that claim. The report cites an item from TMZ.Com.

According to the report, "The suit was filed by a trustee for Matilda, his adorable little two-year old daughter the actor had with actress Michelle Williams. Michelle and Heath were not married at the time of his death; in fact they were not even together. That means this insurance money would go into a trust set up for Matilda.
TMZ has the lawsuit here. There is all sorts of information there and the article explores both sides of the issue which may wind up in court.
