Do you ever wonder who the folks are that are managing your 401K funds and how they are losing all of your money?  The Los Angeles Times has a huge photo of Neel Kashkari published online at the newspaper's website and they have a nice screaming headline "Recognize this man? He's managing $700 billion of your money."

The big fat gift to Wall Street of $700 billion was supposed to have provided relief for the stock market, but so far it appears that the government is unable to stop the slide even though they said they were certain that the $700 billion would prop everything up and make it all better.  That has many asking exactly why we handed over tax money for Wall Street.

So now we try Neel Kashkari and who exactly is he?  According to an online bio at Treasutry.Gov he was "was sworn in as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Economics and Development on July 9, 2008. He was nominated by President Bush on November 15, 2007 and confirmed by the Senate on June 27, 2008.

Continuing, "Prior to joining the Treasury Department, Mr. Kashkari was a Vice President at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in San Francisco, where he led Goldman's IT Security Investment Banking practice, advising public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions and financial transactions. Prior to his career in finance, Mr. Kashkari was a R&D Principal Investigator at TRW in Redondo Beach, California where he developed technology for NASA space science missions such as the James Webb Space Telescope."
