Tina Fey has gone from 'that girl' with the glasses on '30 Rock' to the woman that everyone knows as Sarah Palin. The Alaska governor has been a huge boost to Tina Fey and now some believe that there is a backlash for Palin as some Americans are blurring the lines between entertainment and satire and the real American election.
The Tina Fey Backlash: Real or Imagined? (Image: Wenn)
The term 'Tina Fey Backlash' was first introduced last spring before many even knew who Sarah Palin was. After Tina Fey and the gang at 30 Rock dominated the Emmys, and that awful 'Baby Mama' hit theaters some believed that fatigue might set in and we would all grow tired of Tina Fey.

That might have happened if it hadn't have been for Sarah Palin. The hockey mom burst on to the scene from Alaska and her meteoric rise is one not often seen in politics. She is beloved by the Republican base and detested by women and men on the left who are completely freaked out that she might be one heart beat away from being able to push the button.
The redefined Tina Fey backlash is that she is costing Palin and McCain votes and that is not real, it is imagined. While certainly some of the folks that watch Saturday Night Live probably don't understand that there is a difference between Sarah and Tina, they likely won't vote in this election. What will Tina Fey do if Sarah wins?
