It's enough to make some of Hollywood's top stars scream on Halloween - the horror movies they made before they were famous. A-listers like Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Jennifer Aniston may still be having nightmares about the low-budget fright flicks they have left firmly in the past.

Box-office heavyweights Johnny Depp and John Travolta could well be spooked by memories of being part of the body count in blood-and-gore fests.

Other stars whose stabs at horror when they were unknowns could still haunt them include Ben Affleck, Hugh Grant, Jim Carrey and Viggo Mortensen.

Even rising stars like Jessica Biel and Katherine Heigl have horror skeletons in their closets. Brad Pitt went back to high school for 1989 movie Cutting Class, playing brooding Dwight Ingalls whose girlfriend catches the eye of a creepy classmate.

Teachers and students soon start turning up dead as the psycho suitor goes on a killing spree, which ends up in a showdown with Brad. The movie hunk has admitted he is embarrassed by many of his early films - and he probably learned a few valuable lessons from this one.
