The TV mix - DirecTV has a bit of a controversy as a "Tommy Boy" ad starring David Spade and Chris Farley promoting DirecTV has some claiming the CBS sitcom star is taking advantage of his friend.  Nonsense!  He has been gone for years and some have never even witnessed his comedic genius.

Follow the controversy here but it would be hard not to side with Spade and DirecTV with this one.  A video of the ad is linked as well.

More from the high definition world of Jon and Kate Plus 8 and a TV psychiatrist named Dr Phil.  The television doctor has given advice to Jon and Kate Gosselin. According to Vanity Fair, Jon was trying to keep the marriage together and requested his wife go to counseling.

But Kate said she would only agree to see Dr Phil. It is claimed, however, that Dr Phil gave advice on the reality TV couple's showbiz prospects.

He allegedly told them to stay together "to keep their brand intact". Jon reportedly replied: "Are you crazy? I'm here to save my marriage and you’re talking about my brand?"
