Rihanna has spoken for the first time about being attacked by Chris Brown, admitting: "He was definitely my first big love." The Umbrella star, giving her first interview about the attack, says her powerful feelings for Brown made the attack all the more traumatic to deal with.

And she also spoke about how the worldwide attention over the attack changed her life. "I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears," the 21-year-old beauty said.

"That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, 'What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac?

What do you mean, I can't go back home?" The star insists she has come through the ordeal well, insisting: "I'm stronger, wiser and more aware." And she stressed that her case also highlights how domestic abuse can come crushing down on anybody."

Rihanna added, "This happened to me. It can happen to anyone," she said.
