Star Trek hunk Chris Pine is the new Jack Ryan. Pine takes over the role of the all-action CIA analy
st made famous by Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Alec Baldwin. “With Chris in this role, we've taken our first step in creating a re-boot that lives up to the successful lineage of the franchise," said Adam Goodman, Paramount Film Group president.
Baldwin played the role in 1990’s Hunt for Red October; Ford in 1992’s Patriot Games and 1994’s Clear and Present Danger; while Affleck starred in 2002’s The Sum of All Fears. A script for Pine’s incarnation is still being worked on.

Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku (pictured) has said she "thought [she] was a boy" until she was eight years old. The 28-year-old actress, who is best known for her role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, admitted that she was a bit of a tomboy as a child. She said: "I remember always altering my dolls. I cut Barbie's hair or gave her a tattoo. My dolls were never perfect.
"As a kid, I enjoyed trying on all these different personalities and we'd call it a personality playground. "Growing up in Massachusetts, I peed in the urinals at Fenway Park because I thought I was a boy until I was about eight years old. "I wasn't the girliest girl and now I get to be girlie and b****y."
