Angelina Jolie cuts a striking figure with or without help says Katrina Szish, style editor at Us Weekly magazine.  The Mr. and Mrs. Smith star is beautiful for many reasons but mainly she always looks fab because she does not put on a front and presents herself in an honest manner.

Angie stays true to herself.
Angie stays true to herself.
We've all seen it; many celebrities try outlandish outfits and wild hairstyles to garner attention while out in public to create a buzz and while that works at times, some just can't pull it off.

So - exactly why does Angie rarely look bad?

"What she does really well is she stays true to herself. She never looks like she's dressed up. That's what gives her an almost soulful personal style,"  Szish says.

In a Houston Chronicle interview the stylist gives us ordinary gals advice while doing some A-list name dropping on how to pull off the right look:

Six Ways To Dress Like a Star:

-Throw on a jean jacket over a floral dress. Very Uma Thurman.

-Wear silver round-toe shoes with jeans during the day a la Mischa Barton.

-Carry a vintage embroidered bag to breakfast in Cate Blanchett fashion.

-De-Gap a tee with real jewelry. Drew Barrymore gets into coral.

-Sling a jeans-y leather belt over a fluttery dress, a Kirsten Dunst move.

-Wear two contrasting necklaces (say, wooden and crystal beads) like Sarah Jessica Parker.

The entire column is worth a look.  Find it here.
