Katie Holmes Counters Tom Cruise Prenup Offer

First Tom Cruise reportedly wanted Katie Holmes to sign a prenuptial agreement before the pregnant Katie Holmes and the "War of the Worlds' star could get married.

Now it appears that Katie has countered his offer with one of her own.

While the Katie Holmes bump seems to get bigger each day - so does her father's role in protecting his young daughter.

Katie has reportedly asked her lawyer father Marti - a strict Catholic who was rumored to be unhappy when his daughter became pregnant out of wedlock - to sort out the prenup arrangements.

The Dad is going lightly either - according to 'Star Magazine' he is 'playing hardball with the negotiations'.

The sticking point appears to be cash. 

And Star dishes that while Katie isn't giving out exact figures, a source close to her says she's called Tom's offer "generous" and mentioned that if they stay wed for five years, she gets a nice chunk of money, and if they're together for 10, the amount more than doubles.

Cruise is estimated to be worth more than $300 million, let's see what dad counters with now.
