Newly separated Jessica Simpson has headed home to Texas for the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend to be with her family after announcing that she and husband Nick Lachey are separated.

The blonde bombshell was spotted and photographed at the Los Angeles airport headed to the Lone Star State alone. Nick is reportedly staying in California with his buddies "watching football," reports Extra.

"Extra" caught Simpson alone in the Los Angeles airport Wednesday, where she was on her way to her family's home in Texas. She was apparently still wearing her wedding ring.

Us Weekly's Dana Sansing told us that despite all the headlines, there is no evidence of a third person involved in the couple's split. Instead, she said that career pressure and time apart are to blame.
"They really both wanted to make this work," Sansing said.

The report says that neither side is ruling out reconciliation, so divorce talks may be premature.
But then again - the couple has been playing coy with the media since mid-October when tabloids reported that the two were headed for the break-up that is now official.
