Jessica Simpson "Doing Great' After Break Up With Nick Says Sis

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's very public relationship is finished according to the couple.  And reports say no one is yet talking divorce, but the couple is now leading separate lives.  Jessica's first move was to get out of Los Angeles and fly south to Texas.

The newly single blonde star spent Thanksgiving without hubby Nick Lachey at her grandmother's home in Waco.

One tabloid went into overtime and caught up with Jessica's little sister Ashlee and her latest squeeze, band member Ray Brady, in Texas, on their way to the airport, on Saturday and squeezed some quotes out of the 21-year old singer.

"Jessica's doing great," Ashlee told the Star in an exclusive interview for the magazine. "We all had a good Thanksgiving, all the family was together and we had a wonderful time.

Continuing:

"We didn't even talk about Jessica's breakup from Nick; it wasn't something we wanted to dwell on. Jessica's happy and she's absolutely fine.

"The only thing that stressed Jessica out was our grandparents' worry over all the attention she's getting. Jessica spent most of the holidays trying to reassure them that she's OK and that everything is good."

"Jessica's doing great, the whole family had a really lovely time. Nick wasn't even mentioned, in fact, if truth be told, he's not really been a topic of conversation for some time now."

Ouch. 

It appears if Jessica's family will rally around the star and try to lend her whatever support they can as she struggles with the decision of divorce or reconciliation with hubby Nick Lachey.

Jessica arrived back in LA late Sunday night according to one report.  The next move by the couple is still unclear.
