Newly single pop star and actress Jessica Simpson appeared at the VH1’s Big In ’05 Awards show on Sunday night. This was her first 'big' solo appearance since the break up with hubby Nick Lachey and the starlet was not ready to discuss any of her private life.

In fact, according to celebrity blog Perez Hilton, Jess was lightning fast on the red carpet.
From start to finish, we'd guesstimate that it took Simpson two minutes flat to walk down the really long red (actually, it was orange) carpet and pose for the obligatory photographs, Hilton reports.
The reason is likely her "exclusive" first 'coming out single' interview that is scheduled to air on Extra's Monday edition.
The tabloid show promises:
"Jessica will break her silence on the TV tabloid TV show." The tease promises to ask the blonde bombshell if there is any chance for reconciliation with Nick Lachey.
And Extra also promises to take you out with her on Jessica's first night out single.
Probably worth a TiVo for those that can't get enough of the story.
