Jessica Simpson to Nick Lachey: 'I'm Not in Love Anymore'

During their last ditched meeting to save their marriage two weeks ago, Nick Lachey visited wife Jessica Simpson at the home of her parents.

Reportedly, Nick still thought there was one last shot - one last hope that the two could reconcile.

He would be disappointed, Jess basically told Nick, 'I don't love you anymore.'

Nick reportedly pleaded with Jess, telling the blonde bombshell that if they could just have one more shot - and start over from square one they might even be able to fall in love again, according to a report from an American tabloid. 

But the report from Star Magazine cites a source that said Jess wouldn't hear of it.

"She just shook her head no," the source dished to the Star.  She told Nick that she was filing for divorce and that "she wasn't in love with him anymore."

Nick's last ditch desperation 'Hail Mary' pass had failed, and the hunky hubby was devastated. 

It appears he took the high road as he reportedly not only brought flowers for the family, but a get well card for Jess's sis Ashlee who has taken ill just before the December 15 meeting.

But Jess filed for divorce right after the failed last ditch effort.
