Jessica Simpson is in London to promote the UK opening of "The Dukes of Hazzard" and the 25-year old beauty is stunning the British crowds. Even though she disappointed some fans by wearing a floor-length dress for the premier she admits that she loves Catherine Bach and the shorts made famous by the 80's starlet.
"She was someone I idolized as a kid so to play her is a dream come true. Me and my cousins played Dukes of Hazzard at home and I was always Daisy," Jess said.
The singer revealed she was terrified of getting into the tiny hotpants, and even went on the South Beach Diet for it.
"I'm definitely shy, so it was definitely acting for me to drop a trench coat and be in a bikini and try to get my cousins out of trouble by using my body. That was definitely acting," Jessica revealed.
"I'm a big fan of the shorts and I wore them as a kid growing up in Texas, I think it's great that they are now popular again and that a lot of girls are wearing them because of me," the blonde bombshell added.
Daisy Dukes aside, Jessica was still stunning at the red carpet premiere, as this photo shows.
