Report: American Idol's Clay Aiken Set to Deploy New Strategy

One can only wonder how long the allegations from John Paulus will continue to dog American Idol runner up Clay Aiken.  The singer has remained very tight-lipped on the matter, but reports continue almost daily about how the singer should deal with the matter.

Ignoring it has not seemed to work and now a report hints at a new strategy.

The NY post dishes on Clay Aiken and what may be his new strategy.

Page Six believes we should expect to see Clay Aiken popping up all over with beautiful women on his arms soon. (This is already happening on a smaller scale.)

The report:

Aiken has kept a low profile since former Green Beret John Paulus went on the record saying they had unprotected sex. Since then, others have come forward, noting they too had relations with Aiken after meeting him on the Internet.

Aiken, whose image is based on a church choirboy, was even sued by some irate fans claiming false marketing - and now, spies said Aiken was spotted last Tuesday night at the Dinner Detective, a murder mystery dinner in Los Angeles with "a gorgeous girl on his arm."

Our spy giggled: "Unfortunately, the strategy does nothing to wash away the disturbing images of his half-nude Web cam striptease photos seared across the brains of who ever has seen them on the Internet or in print."

What's next - the requisite visit to the Playboy Mansion?

This all seems a bit unfair to Aiken, as there is no certainty that the web cam shots are even Clay.  But he is popular and has apparently made some enemies that wish to see the story continue.

Clay at some point may have to address these charges head on, so they won't hamper his new album.
