Kevin Federline feels that whenever Britney Spears is around, she inevitably gets all the attention. He's looking to be recognized in his own right as a rapper and according to Star Magazine has told Britney - I'm the star.

This seems to be in answer to a story earlier reported by Life & Style Weekly that had Britney stating the obvious that she was indeed the star and breadwinner of the family.

Star reports that Kevin Federline's big night rapping in front of 800 clubgoers at Club X in Dallas on March 31 was marred by a huge blowout he had with wife Britney Spears earlier in the evening, according to an insider.
"Kev wanted Brit to back off some," a club insider tells Star People.

"He didn't want her there to steal his thunder. He feels that whenever Britney is around, she inevitably gets all the attention. However, a source close to Britney, 24, says she's the one who's mad, thanks to Kevin, 28, and his oversize ego.
"What he doesn't seem to understand," the source fumes, "is that the only reason anyone is interested in him is because he's Britney Spears' husband. He would not have an album if it weren't for Britney."
