Tom Cruise has claimed that the fabulous Katie Holmes was indeed silent during the birth and pulled through like an absolute champ, according to a published report from the UK.

The Sun reports that Cruise stroked Katie’s face and held her hand during the birth to help her stay silent. According to the paper a source said: “Tom was determined to make Katie as comfortable as possible. He was holding her hand and stroking her face to soothe her during the delivery."
And he praised his fiancée for staying silent during the birth saying: “Kate was, and is, an absolute champ,” the paper reports.

--Cruise did let Katie have a pain-killing epidural shot, even though he is against the use of prescription drugs.
-- Cruise also ordered medical staff to stay silent, meaning the delivery nurses had to make hand signals to tell Katie when to push.
--“Everybody in the room was told to stay silent and the nurses made hand signals. But Katie did indicate she wanted an epidural to help with the pain," the source told the Sun.
