The speculation and heat that surrounded Katie Homes and Tom Cruise seems to have subsided just a bit, but that may be by design.  A published report says that Tom Cruise has some very strict rules he'd like Katie to adhere to - when Tom's away - for the little infant baby Suri.

A report from In Touch Weekly gives these details in this week's edition of the weekly magazine.

1. NO SUGAR NEAR SURI

Katie loves sweets, especially cupcakes from Billy’s Bakery in New York. But now Tom, who’s a health nut, is insisting that she avoid eating sugar in front of Suri, because “babies can smell it and detect it,” says a pal.

2. KEEP THE LIGHTS LOW

Tom believes bright light is very harsh for the baby, so lighting must be kept to a bare minimum, an insider says.

3. PREP HER FOR THE HOG

Tom, who says he had kids Connor and Isabella on the back of a motorcycle by the age of 2, has the same plan for Suri. “How long before I can get [her] on a motorcycle?” he says in Arena magazine.

4. NO LOUD MUSIC

Katie likes to listen to Coldplay, but Tom wants classical music such as Debussy and Wagner to be played at home. “It builds the baby’s creative powers,” says a friend. “It helps with problem solving.”

5. NO COUCH POTATOES

Energetic Tom expects Suri to be an adventurer. “OK, you’re out! Let’s go, kid!” says Tom, who told Arena he thinks Suri will walk by 8 months and wonders how long it’ll be before she’s on skis.

6. KATIE FEEDS, HE BURPS

After the birth, Tom told David Letterman, “She does the breast-feeding…I do the burping. We got kind of a whole system worked out.”

Some of these sound like pretty good ideas and others are ridiculous.  I'm guessing the little one can jam to Coldplay without any permanent damage.

But surely some of them are straight from the Scientology 'peaceful enviroment' rules for infants.

But remember rules are good - as without rules there is chaos.
