Brad Pitt had blown off has previous obligation to appear at the Cannes Film Festival but we're guessing he'll get a pass with a note from his mom to be as an excuse.

The reason the hunky Hollywood actor is not at the international festival - his little woman Angelina Jolie is ready to pop.
Brad puts it a bit different in an e-mail to the folks in France.
"With the imminent arrival of the newest addition to our family, I am unable to join Alejandro, Cate, Gael and the rest of the cast and crew in introducing" his new film, "Babel."

The anticipation surrounding the birth of the most famous baby of the year has been over the top. It has taken over the entertainment world with Jolie baby pools predicting the birth of the baby.
One source spilled to the usually very reliable Extra TV that Angelina was in labor right now, but as that was last Thursday it's likely that was either false labor or a near miss.

Perez got into the act late Sunday night with an unsubstantiated source that claimed Jolie was to give birth in a few hours. The e-mail reportedly said:
"I heard from a contact in Namibia that Angelina is expected to give birth within a few hours and all hospitals in the area are on standby. She's already been in labor for several hours."

Well depending on your definition of a few hours...
So now Brad delivers the news that Angie is ready to pop and the birth is imminent. I have May 25 in The National Ledger Angelina Jolie baby pool.
