Kristin Cavallari Morphs into Jessica Simpson: Wants 'Dukes' Role

Many called Kristin Cavallari the Jessica Simpson replacement when she and Nick Lachey began dating after he split from Jess.  Tabloids have noted that Kristin is looking like Jess more each day and In Touch even noticed she is swiping Jessica's poses when she is photographed.

Now Kristin may completely be morphing into Jessica Simpson as she is seeking the 'new Dukes of Hazzard' role.

The film is now casting and is not Dukes II, but a prequel.

People Magazine has details:

Bill Gerber, the producer of last year's The Dukes of Hazzard, tells PEOPLE in its new issue that he is working on a prequel to the movie that brought Simpson (and her rear view) film fame – and he thinks Cavallari, 19, would fill out those Daisy Duke shorts quite nicely.

"She's at the top of the list," he says. "I like her innocence and her beauty."

Why not just stick with Simpson, 25? "It's a prequel, like Batman (Begins)," he says. "We're going for a whole new cast."

I'm not really certain Dukes really needs a prequel, and without the star power of Knoxville and Jessica and a pretty good ensemble cast it maybe a tough sell.
