Many wondered how Jennifer Aniston would deal with the news that ex hubby Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had their baby in Africa.  It seems she took her boyfriend Vince Vaughn's advice and once again emerged as the bigger person.

Jen does the right thing - congrats to Brad and Angie

Call it the Vaughn influence.  According to a report from Life & Style Weekly Jennifer phoned the couple and gave them a hearty congratulations.

Good for her.

The magazine reports:

“Jen got the news late on Saturday afternoon,” a source close to the actress tells Life & Style. “And at first she was really surprised because she had heard it was going to be a boy. After some debate with Vince Jen decided to call Brad’s manager and give congratulations from them both.

“I think Jen is really proud of herself for swallowing her pride and getting over her personal feelings to pass on her best wishes to the whole family. But Jen also says she’s as curious as anyone else to see what the baby looks like, and for her, that’s where the real suspense is!”

An earlier report had claimed that Vince told Jen to deal with the issue head on and Jennifer reportedly remains very close with Brad's mom and his entire family.

It is a good move personally and public relations wise to congratulate the couple on the birth.

Remember - GQ was so impressed on how Jennifer emerged as the bigger person during the entire messy divorce they gave her 'Man of the Year' honors for her maturity and class.

This won't hurt that reputation.
