Democrats are rushing to cameras everywhere to slam President George W. Bush and try to score political points on the backs of the dead in New Orleans. Celebrities are joining in as well, slamming the president with such wisdom as "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
It's kinda creepy, but that is the political climate in 2005.
So--has the blame game worked? Not if you believe the Gallup Organization.
When asked to identify who was most responsible for the problems in New Orleans after the hurricane,
--38% of Americans said no one was really to blame.
--Only 13% blamed President Bush.
--18% blamed the federal agencies.
--25% blamed state and local officials.
Wow. That number will stagger a few liberals. For over a week, politicians, pundits and even the White House press reporters have been standing before cameras complaining and slamming George W. Bush.
But it appears that has been a turn off. Trying to score political points from genuine human suffering is callous and absolutely wrong, but is apparently page three of the liberal playbook.
Everyone piled on this time, and it appears to have backfired…again.
