Talk about courting A-list femme stars. First there was a report in early June that Tom Cruise was trying to recruit Angelina Jolie to Scientology and invited her to visit the Church of Scientology in Beverly Hills once they make their way back to the states.

Now a report claims “King of Queens” star Leah Remini is doing the same thing with Jennifer Lopez.

According to MSBC gossip Jeannette Walls, J Lo has denied her pal is pushing her towards the religion. “People can be just friends,” Lopez’s rep says.
But Walls note skepticism is high among critics.
“I can’t believe Remini would be spending all that time with her unless she believed she could hook her,” Cultnews.com’s Rick Ross tells The Scoop.

So - J Lo says no - back to Jolie.
In early June Hal Lifson wrote that Tom made a call to Jolie in Africa after the birth of Shiloh and quickly turned the conversation to Scientology after a genuine congrats to her and Brad on the birth of Shiloh.
Jennifer Cox wrote: The M: I: 3 star complemented (Jolie) for her charity work and mentioned that the Church of Scientology would love to honor her work with a special award.

“There’s always a method to Tom’s madness,” another source told the Enquirer at the time. “Part of the reason Tom (offered the humanitarian award) for Angelina was so that she could get a glimpse of his church and possibly considering joining,” the insider told the weekly.
The report claims Jolie’s response was polite, but she declined the award. No word on whether she has taken Tom up and visited the Scientology Centre.
