Jessica Simpson and Zach Braff Get Cozy?

Is this the summer of the funnymen and blondes?  Vince and Jennifer, David and Heather and Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are all rumored to be items as the comedians turn on the charm.  Now an even more unlikely pair has been spotted getting cozy in the Hamptons according to a report.

Jessica Simpson and Zach Braff were spotted canoodling by witnesses reports Us Weekly.  The magazine reports that the newly single Braff, who just broke up with Mandy Moore, is "aggressively pursuing the recently divorced singer."

The two shared a cabana together at Hamptons hotspot Pink Elephant last weekend, while also hanging "innocently" at Manhattan's Bungalow 8, reports TMZ. 

"Both were clearly flirting" an eyewitness told Us.

Is this the summer fling Jessica needs to get over Nick? 

According to a Simpson source cited by Us Weekly - it's not likely to happen.  "Jessica doesn't like Zach," the insider tells the weekly magazine.  A rep for Braff says the pair are "friends."

So this may be much ado about nothing.  But one witness says that Zach and Jess spent an hour and a half together and there were "a few playful slaps on the shoulder from Jessica to Zach and lots of smiles at both ends."

Sounds like a lot of joke-telling and flirting to me.

His friends were apparently proud of him, when Zach returned to his table he was reportedly greeted with "cheers and high fives," a source told the magazine.

Jessica fans are desperately hoping to see her get a good guy soon.  With Nick Lachey obviously moving forward, Jessica fans wonder how long it will be before she has an 'official' date or boyfriend.
