Cindy Sheehan: Hurricane Rita was 'Just a Little Wind and Rain'

Anti-war protest mom Cindy Sheehan turned green with envy on Saturday as the cable networks and the rest of America ignored the Sheehan crowd and concentrated on Hurricane Rita, the Category 3 storm that slammed into Texas and Louisiana early Saturday morning.

In a post on the left-wing blog Daily Kos Sheehan let her feelings known.

Kos

Sheehan wrote: "I am watching CNN and it is 100 percent (Hurricane) Rita...even though it is a little wind and a little rain...it is bad, but there are other things going on in this country today...and in the world!!!!"

Ugh.  The phrase ugly American comes quickly to mind.

To their credit the posters on the site slammed Sheehan noting her selfish narcissism.

"Shame on you, you're jealous of media coverage of other's suffering. You've become a caricature and I no longer support you. I'm ashamed I ever did," writes hibsnet.

Added poster Rationality:

"Sorry Cindy, but I must say that the suffering in Texas right now is quite pertinent.  In fact, at a time when we have people suffering, left homeless and devastated from "a little wind and a little rain," I think you can take a break from the camera just for a moment."

"That is damn stupid.  The death toll from these hurricanes is still rising, and you really think the Iraq war doesn't get covered?  What a selfish woman!  I'd be downright ashamed to read anything else you have to say from here on in, wrote a poster with the screen name of abuali.

Sheehan gave a quasi-apology somewhere in the thread, but it was quickly discounted.

Cindy Sheehan is really unnecessary at this point.

She will likely soon be abandoned by all with the exception of the outrageously anti-American left.
