It was never really clear if season four American idol winner Carrie Underwood and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo were an item. The sweet little country singer was spotted on the field at Texas Stadium on Thanksgiving flirting with Romo and speculation was over the top once that happened. But Carrie denied any relationship while Tony confirmed the rumors to a local newspaper reporter that asked the question about Carrie 'for his wife'.

Now a new report claims that the latest love speculation for the gorgeous country music star was that she was dating British singer Oliver Trevena. According to a report from Us Weekly Magazine those two were spotted flirting it up at LAX.

That apparently was enough to get Romo off the sidelines and back into the game. Jennifer Cox reported yesterday that Tony decided to try to rekindle the love (if they ever really had any relationship). The National Enquirer cites a chatty insider that says, "When Tony heard that Carrie was dating new guys he realized how much he missed her."
The report claims that things have cooled a bit between Trevena and Carrie. When the British singer flew to see Carrie on Valentine's day he brought her an expensive gift and that was a turn off, the Enquirer claims. Carrie told the heartbroken singer she was too busy recording to see him and the insider dished to the magazine that she now realizes that she has strong feelings for Romo.
She has even met the family, the report claims. "Tony's family loved her, and now the couple is back stronger than ever," the insider dished.
