Is the Governator ready to challenge California Senator Barbara Boxer for her seat?  Boxer's seat will be on the line in 2010.  A report from The New York Daily News suggests that the popular two-term California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger may challenge the left-wing Boxer.  A report from Rush and Molloy claims that Democrats are already gearing up to fortify Sen. Barbara Boxer, should The Terminator run against her in 2010. Jackson Browne will perform at a fundraiser for Boxer April 1 at the estate of Ron Burkle, who's hosting with his billionaire buddy Steven Bing, Danny DeVito, Rob Reiner and other Hollywood bigs.

Cue the rep™: Schwarzenegger's spokesman did not return calls, but the Daily News notes that Austrian-born pol told the San Jose Mercury News last month he "didn't know" what he wanted to do next.

"It would be boring if I knew what I would be doing four years from now," he said. "That's why I did movies and didn't do a TV series, where you know what happens. I didn't want a safety net."

But a high-placed Republican source tells us that "Republican party officials have expressed interest to him. He sounds interested. It's a long way off, but the GOP people think Schwarzenegger could blow her out of the water."
