A report earlier this week claimed that guitarist extraordinaire John Mayer and his pop star girlfriend Jessica Simpson were moving up the relationship food chain in short order and getting serious. Star Magazine reported that the romance is so hot that the couple was reportedly seen checking out diamond rings at Cartier on March 8 during their six day trip to Rome. It appeared that there might be a race for the altar with her ex Nick Lachey and his gorgeous sweetie Vanessa Minnillo who have had marriage rumors now for months.

If there is indeed a race - it just heated up. According to People Magazine Vanessa is looking forward to be a mom. And she may be willing to give Angelina Jolie a run for her money as she wants four kids!

"I can't wait to be a mother one day," the TRL host, 26, told People magazine at the Bacardi Limon Express Your Style Design Competition Thursday night in Manhattan. "I want to bring three boys up to be good men in this world and then one little girl. I always say I want three boys and a girl but at the end of the day I just want healthy kids."
Let's hope Nick Lachey knows how to change diapers and can live on no sleep. No word yet on if and when Nick and Vanessa are looking to start this family, but expect the wedding speculation to increase with her decleration.
