Hanoi Jane: Fonda Says She's Happy Paris Hilton is Doing Time

Jane Fonda is most famous for sitting atop a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun supporting the Communists that were killing American soldiers and locking them up in what was dubbed the Hanoi Hilton.  During a 1972 trip to North Vietnam, Jane Fonda propagandized on behalf of the North Vietnamese government, declared that American POWs were being treated humanely and condemned U.S. soldiers as "war criminals" and later denounced them as liars for claiming they had been tortured.

Now this bastion of virtue is ready to attack Paris Hilton and wants her placed in jail.  “I’m glad she’s being sentenced. I’m glad she is going to do the time,” Fonda told Larry King on his CNN show. “If she were black, if she were poor, she would have done it much sooner.”

When Larry asked how kids can be turned around, Jane responded quickly.  “Kids need structure. Kids need a good foundation and values,” she said. “And if you don’t have that in your life as a young person, it’s really tough and especially if you’re rich and spoiled and you are made into a celebrity.”

Maybe they can get enough values to snuggle up with an American enemy and spread enemy propaganda as soldiers are being killed and tortured.  While I see no reason Paris Hilton can't do her stint in jail, I doubt she need be lectured on morals by a traitor like Jane Fonda.
