Reports earlier were that Jessica Simpson was out after Carrie Underwood's fella. The American idol winner has been dating, officially now, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, but Team Jess was pushing for a new shot at the hunky QB. Now along comes a report from MSNBC citing the National Enquirer that Tony wants to cool it with Carrie. According to 'The Scoop' Tony wants a timeout. But he doesn't cite Jessica as the reason for the cool down.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback has told Underwood that he wants to bench their relationship during the football season, according to the National Enquirer. Football training camp begins in July and lasts until January. Good thing they're not married.

Romo asked Underwood to give him space for his career once before, and she did, but this time, the request has hit a sour note with her, says the source, who adds, “Carrie wants a firm commitment from Tony.” Who can blame her?
Ted Casablanca of E! online claims that Jess already may be making her move. “Tony invited (Jessica) to Dallas, and she’s going,” an insider claimed. “Of course, he doesn’t want Carrie to find out.” The spy says they’re already spending lots of time together, as in entire weekends.
