Rosie O'Donnell Who? Paris Hilton Calls Barbara Walters for 'The View'

Rosie O'Donnell ended her run on 'The View' in what many believed was a coward's exit but many believed that O'Donnell's controversial shock jock methods would take all the ratings with her as well.  NBC is reportedly ready to hire O'Donnell, desperate for any numbers.  But veteran journalist  Barbara Walters proves she can still say Rosie who by landing a talk with jailed socialite Paris Hilton.  Hilton told Barbara Walters during a Los Angeles jailhouse telephone interview that she was depressed after her first few days of incarceration.

Will that provide some big numbers - surely ABC is counting on it.  According to Media Bistro Barbara Walters has had an exclusive talk with Paris Hilton and she will spill the details on "The View" on Monday's show.  Hilton told Walters she is maturing, saying "I used to act dumb ... That act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference. God has given me this new chance.

The report: Barbara Walters "had an exclusive conversation via telephone with Paris Hilton on Sunday afternoon," according to an internal ABC memo circulated Sunday. The conversation wasn't recorded. But the highlights, as recalled by Walters, will be teased on Good Morning America Monday morning, along with an ABCNews.com story.

But Walters is holding some details for later in the day. At 11am, "Walters will give a full debrief of her conversation on The View," a leaked memo says.  Expect a full push early Monday for the recall from Babs.
