The Brown and Goldman families are at war- and it’s all because of OJ's book! After the family of Ron Goldman went to court recently and obtained the rights to O.J. Simpson's shelved book "If I Did It," the Brown family quickly filed a claim asking that 40 percent of any proceeds earned go to the Nicole Brown Simpson estate.

But according to a report in this week's National Enquirer that move rankled the Goldman's, and their attorneys are opposing the motion, claiming that the Nicole Brown Simpson estate got involved in the court case at the last minute and should not receive any money until their claim has been fully settled. That legal maneuver then infuriated the Brown family.

Now Denise Brown is blasting Fred Goldman in an exclusive interview with The Enquirer, saying: "Fred is living up to his last name, GOLD MAN." She added, "The Brown family doesn’t want any money. We don’t want the book published at all. Now if a book is published, the Nicole Brown Simpson estate, which has the judgment against O.J., wants 40 percent of any proceeds."
"The public gets confused- the Brown family and the Nicole Brown Simpson estate are two different entities. The Nicole Brown Simpson estate consists of Sydney and Justin Simpson."

"My father Lou Brown is the executor of Nicole's will and has the responsibility to attempt to collect on the judgment. If any monies are ever collected they will be placed in a fund for Sydney and Justin. The Brown family won’t receive a dollar and has never received any money on the judgment.”
Ron Goldman and O.J.’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson were murdered on June 12, 1994. O.J. was charged with their deaths and later acquitted by a jury. Both families were later awarded multimillion-dollar judgments in a civil lawsuit against the former athlete- but neither has ever seen a penny.

"The families have never really liked each other sine the day O.J. was charged in the murders,” said an insider. And subsequent events have made that feud worse.
Tensions rose last year after The Enquirer broke the story about O.J. writing “If I Did It,” a fictionalized account about the murders. The Enquirer's revelation caused a storm of outrage to rain down on O.J. and his publisher, who also planned a TV special to go along with the book.

Denise told the magazine: “Before the book was about to be released and a TV special aired, News Corp. offered to pay Fred Goldman $5 million if he didn’t publicly speak out about O.J. Simpson. In turn, Fred Goldman offered the Nicole Brown Simpson estate a measly $250K to keep their mouths shut.”
Denise hit the talk-show circuit blasting the Goldmans for wanting to accept hush money. The book project and TV special were canceled amid intense controversy, and the Goldmans went to court to obtain the rights to the project. After receiving the rights they planned to rename the book “Confessions of a Double Murderer” and shop for a new publisher.

Now, however, they find themselves still stuck in court, fighting their fellow victims, and the bad feelings between the families are worse then ever.
