Is Jessica Simpson a porn star?  It appears she has been offered a role guaranteed to deliver the buxom blonde an opportunity to bring home a little gold statue named Oscar according to a report from people Magazine.  This would likely be a bit better than her role in "Employee of the Month" or in the "Dukes of Hazzard" but the idea has been nixed.

That's the word from poppa Joe who once famously told the world that Jessica's "Double D's" could not be covered up.  But apparently the line is drawn at what sounds like an "art film."

"The last script that came to us was for Jessica to be a porn star," Jessica's father and manager, Joe Simpson, told People Magazine at Thursday's ABC Television Critics Association party in Beverly Hills. "We were promised we would win an Oscar with that," says Simpson, 49. "I was like, 'Eh, we'll just buy a [statue of a] little man and keep our clothes on.' "

"They're very busy, and they're happy," Joe Simpson says of his daughters. "Jessica has three more movies to shoot; she has a new record coming in September. If the right role came up, of course, we'd never turn that down."
