Jon Reep, is the last comic Standing - And then there was one. Jon Reep was crowned the funniest comedian on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" competition on Wednesday night. The 35-year-old Hickory, NC native defeated Lavell Crawford to take home Last Comic Standing's grand prize package that includes a talent contract deal with NBC, a Bravo half-hour comedy special and $250,000, reports Reality TV World.

"I want to thank everybody in the world that decided to vote for me... everybody in Hickory obviously," said Jon before host Bill Bellamy revealed he was the winner.  "My mom, my dad, my lovely fiance... Thanks for all your support."

Fans of the show chose Reep over Lavell Crawford. The two knocked off others from around the world to become finalists, and the winner was announced on Wednesday's show.  Reep's standup routine is deeply rooted from his childhood in the foothills of North Carolina, where he gave his teachers headaches and made them chuckle at the same time.

His father and mother, David and Betty Reep, were in the audience for the show's grand finale.  Prior to appearing as a Last Comic Standing 5 finalist, Reep had appeared on Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Comedy Central Presents; TBS' Pit Stop Comedy; NBC's Late Friday; CMT's Comedy Stage and Comedy Club; as well as the ABC sitcom Rodney.  However he's probably best known for asking "That thing got a Hemi?" in recent Dodge Ram commercials.
