Wanda Almighty? Oscar-nominated writer/ director/ producer Steve Oedekerk ("Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius," "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective") says when -- and if -- a follow-up to "Bruce Almighty" and "Evan Almighty" is done, the "Almighty" will probably be a woman. "Wanda Sykes would be nice," says Oedekerk, who penned the screenplays for both "Almighty" films. "She was in 'Evan Almighty,' and she's a walking comedy machine, that woman. She's awesome. We love her."

Oedekerk, who's currently working on his new animated "Back at the Barnyard" series on Nickelodeon, premiering Sept. 29, says he hasn't begun scripting another "Almighty." In fact, she says, "I never really sit down and think 'sequel.' It's more like if an idea pops in that seems like it could be its own movie, you know." He does, however, get to work with Sykes again because she's reprising her role as Bessy, the sassy, smart-mouthed cow from his big-screen hit animated comedy "Barnyard" in the series based on the film.

"It really originally was a TV series," says Oedekerk, who's also doing the voices of Mr. Beady the farmer and Snotty Boy in the show about a group of party animals who live colorful lives, undetected by the humans around them. And those animals, he says, will deal with pretty much the same issues humans do.
"There are areas they would be able to get into if there really were a secret animal society -- like, they could essentially use the Internet and communicate with humans that way -- order pizza, as long as they hide when the pizza shows up. They can all go out on Halloween 'cause people think they're in costumes. It's just really role playing."
