Prince William's girlfriend (or fiancée if you choose to believe) Kate Middleton is thought by many to be the new Princess Diana. However, one person that was roundly praised for her portrayal of a British queen on screen believes that hard partying American socialite Paris Hilton more resembles Lady Di according to reports. Wait - what? Paris over Kate?

In what seems like a desperate cry for attention Helen, 62, who recently won an Oscar for her portrayal of the Queen, feels the heiress has what it takes to reach the same heights as Diana. "I don't applaud Paris Hilton... but I think she's pretty cool,' Helen reveals. 'She's developed, like Princess Diana, that deliberate foolishness, which is disarming."

This whole report is a bit disarming. There are reports that Mirren is on Team Camilla but this seems like nonsense. The Royalist points out that in April of 1996, the Prime Suspect star prompted newspaper headlines when she launched an attack on Diana, saying of the Prince of Wales' then estranged wife: "Actually I find Princess Diana really nauseating - and half crazy, poor thing."

"She has an unbearable stress and pressure, the likes of which we can't really comprehend - especially because she has no mental resources to deal with it. She's incredibly stupid to start off with." The Paris comparison continues.
