Britney Spears still doesn't have custody of her children. But are her dogs in danger? People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) believes so and they want something done about it. The cover of OK! Magazine screams that Britney doesn't want her boys and is obsessed with partying and her puppy London. And last week PETA seized the moment and sent an open letter to Kevin Federline and told him to go after Britney's dogs.

The activist group believes that is Britney is not a fit parent, she's not a fit dog owner. Is that fitting? A spokesman for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals says the group's president has written an open letter to Kevin Federline encouraging him to pursue custody of Spears' animals.

Michael McGraw says "PETA fears that the dogs may be in danger." He says PETA is particularly concerned about the welfare of her Yorkshire terrier puppy London, which she takes to nightclubs and shopping malls.
McGraw also says Spears' dogs should be with her sons as they adjust to life with Federline. He says "the companionship of beloved animals can make a world of difference for the kids during this obviously difficult time."
