The Kim Cattrall Nissan ad that was banned in New Zealand by the car company from the airwaves has landed online. The Kim Cattrall ad uses a version of her 'Sex and the City' personna Samanth and was a little to hot for New Zealand.

| Kim Cattrall Nissan Ad Sparks Response |
Nissan pulled the ad and with that, bloggers have chimed in from 'The Huffington Post' to 'Auto blog' and of course the entertainment media.
Everyone seemed to form an opinion with one poster on HuffPo nailing it pretty well writing:
"How unsophisticated of those Kiwis. All sophisticated societies know that automobiles equal sex."

On Auto blog writer Stuart Waterman titles his article "Sex sells" and notes Cattrall is currently starring in a series of three Australian-produced TV commercials for Nissan's new Tiida (North America's Versa) in which the unremarkable little car becomes something of a sex symbol.
Well, apparently the diminutive Nissan is just a bit too racy for New Zealand TV - the carmaker has pulled one of the ads from Kiwi airwaves after a number of viewer complaints.

popbytes gives this analysis:
Nissan pulled their sexy commercial featuring 'sex & the city' gal Kim Cattrall and said (they) made this decision in the interest of self-regulation and in response to public feedback... check out the sassy TV spot below for yourself as ms.
Cattrall drives around while a voiceover adds the all-new Nissan Tiida makes you feel really, really, really good inside - I bet Kim's paycheck made her feel 'really, really, really' good inside too!
Indeed.

Susan Hatch writes in The National Ledger that the spot that is being shown around the Internet - which is not the offensive spot - is way more tame than Paris Hilton's burger ad from last year.
If it's Paris (and Carl's Jr.) vs. Sex and the City (and Nissan) you have to give this round to Paris.
***
The ads are highly suggestive but Kim is dressed pretty conservatively and I agree with Susan, they are quite tame compared to the Paris Hilton burger buzz of last year.
