Desperately trying to re-capture her media darling status of August 2005 Cindy Sheehan has purchased a 5-acre parcel in Crawford, Texas using supporter, Gerry Fonseca to seal the deal.

Fonseca says he purchased the 5-acre parcel, which cost more than $52,000.  The owner would not have sold the land if it was known it was to be used by Sheehan for political purposes reports KXXV-TV on its web site.

According to the AP, Fonseca also admits he doubts that any Crawford landowner would have sold to Sheehan or other protesters, so he didn't reveal his connection. Fonseca, who lost his Slidell, La., home in Hurricane Katrina, told sellers about that part of his life and that he wanted to build.

Basically - he admits he lied.

"I feel deceived," said Celia Ramsey, who sold the land to Cindy Sheehan through a third party. She talked to News Channel 25 exclusively on the matter. "I would have never sold it to Sheehan. Nobody wants them here."

That seems to be the consensus.

AP reports like many folks in President Bush's adopted hometown, 83-year-old Robert Westerfield isn't exactly rolling out the welcome mat for the town's newest resident: war protester Cindy Sheehan.

"I wish she'd stay away. Crawford's a Republican town, and she's a dumb Democrat," Westerfield, a lifelong Crawford resident, said Friday while sitting on a bench outside a gas station on Main Street.

Sheehan cares little about the residents of Crawford and their peace.

She just wants President Bush out of office and her face plastered all over TV and her name in the press.  "I am very sad it came to this point where we had to buy a permanent home," said Sheehan. "I thought President Bush would have resigned by now. But I am happy about a permanent home in Crawford."

So - she lied to buy the property and will again force the residents of Crawford to deal with her far left gang of protestors for at least a month, or perhaps less if world events cause her lapdogs in the media to ignore her.

It should be interesting to see if the media has tired of her act.
