According Wrestling News Desk, Rob Van Dam has commented on Brock Lesnar's UFC debut. In 2002, Rob Van Dam (RVD) and Lesnar wrestled each other several times as part of Lesnar's on-air agent/manager Paul Heyman's feud with RVD. Many thought the matches that pitted Lesnar vs Rob Van Dam were excellent, and the two had a memorable match at the 2002 King of the Ring one-night tournament.

"RVD was a great opponent for Lesnar," commented Wrestling News Desk.com  editor Matthew Cooper, "Heyman was masterful at carrying the interviews, and did probably his best managerial work with Lesnar.  And Lesnar vs RVD was a great match. The chemistry was just there for them to have intense, physical matches for Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment."

Van Dam, who has launched an online reality series entitled RVD-TV as a premium bonus for members of his website, commented on a recent blog, "I can't believe anyone is doubting Brock Lesnar. Maybe they don't know first-hand that Brock is ten times as strong as he looks. Maybe they just think of him as a pro wrestler, when in fact, he only did that for a few years of his life, maybe? He's a shooter."

He added, "He's a physical freak of nature. Just because he doesn't have a long MMA record does not mean he suffers from lack of experience. I saw him pummel that poor bastard at his MMA debut here in Los Angeles. I wasn't surprised. Frank Mir is no push-over, but my money's on you, Brock."

Lesnar fights Frank Mir as part of UFC 81: Breaking Point this Saturday from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
