The 2008 Audi R8 is priced at just over a hundred grand so it has the dead president like credentials to act as the Godfather. This two-seater with a midsized engine incorporates modernized technology from the company's Le Mans-winning prototype. Adapted for street driving, the Audi R8 first made its debut in 2006 at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris, France and was similar to the Le Mans Quattro concept car that first appeared in 2003.
Super Bowl Ads: Audi R8 is the Godfather
Mobile Mag.Com notes that "Up until now, Audi hasn't really had a supercar to call its own. Sure, the German automaker has strong connections to the guys at Lamborghini, but it's not like you can walk into a VW dealership and order an Audi Gallardo. That has now changed with the availability of the Audi R8, a high-powered supercar that comes equipped with plenty of creature comforts too."

Michael Kwan notes that is "Exactly what this ad is designed to show. The Audi R8 signals the departure of "old luxury" and ushers in a generation where luxury cars can be afforded all sorts of wild performance too. The only question that remains is why won't Audi send me a review unit (for keeps, of course)."
