According to the press release sent out by the UK's number one newspaper and website, The Sun launched its groundbreaking video series this morning.

The show's premiere episode reveals the Hustle crew's frantic search for footage when all press credentials were canceled for the cast party of smash hit American TV show "Survivor."

The popularity of the Hustle show lead to it being on the splash page of the Sun, according to the Sun's Mark Gilbert. Former Extreme Wrestling magnate Paul Heyman created the show with Mitchell Stuart, who was written up in the Gothamist recently as a Hi-Def pioneer.
Stuart, who is also the creative director for the online "Stripped: Raw and Real" music series, has worked with Britney Spears, Kanye West, and Fall Out Boy. Sounds like a party at Jeremy Piven's house.

The show's backstory is that CBS canceled all press passes for the New York City cast party for the season premiere of "Survivor: Fans vs Favorites," and Heyman's crew has to scramble (or, as they say, "Hustle") to get the interviews. From wild people on the street (including a self-described "mentally ill guy" who hands out passes to a comedy show) to lesbian kisses between Survivor cast members Ami Cusack and Flick Smith, Heyman manages to find the souls behind the outlandish personalities, including a surprisingly moving confession by Jonny Fairplay, who discusses his reasons for bailing out of Survivor so he could be with his pregnant girlfriend, Michele Deighton of "America's Next Top Model."
The Heyman Hustle is NewsCorp's first step into the Internet-mobile broadcasting platform. It's not only Heyman's first project outside of wrestling, but the first project for Executive Producer Peter E. Poon, who was the top gun at Fox's Asian production and distribution arm, Fortune Star Entertainment. You can see the world premiere here.
