Lindsay Lohan has posed for a whole series of photos imitating Marilyn Monroe and the pictures have been creating quite the buzz in the entertainment media and also with mainstream news sources that are discussing Lohan for something other than a DUI bust or rehab .  While many are having all kinds of fun mocking La Lohan others have said the pics are very tasteful and a nice tribute.

I fall somewhere in between.  The photos are actually very well done by the photographer and he does the best he can with what he has to work with.  For topless shots and lots of LiLo's skin on display they are indeed in good taste.  But ugh - they just don't seem to be a good idea and surely this will not make enough of a splash to get her off the Britney Spears comparisons.

White Oprah, aka Dina Lohan, used that very term tasteful in trying to defend her freshly rehabbed daughter as stripping off her clothes and posing and of course says that the photos are "art."  And in a rare defense of a highly criticized mom what is she supposed to say - my daughter is one step closer the porn industry?

Lindsay is certainly getting some mileage out of the stripped photo shoot.  Lohan is now front and center of many searches online but none of them are too concerned about her career and if she has any comeback in store, they just want to see her with her clothes removed and posing.
