Oprah has a one two punch of controversial shows upcoming.  On Thursday she will have a pregnant man on named Thomas Beatie (yes it is real) and on Friday in a show that will touch many pet owners and dog lovers and absolutely freak out others that really don't get it, Oprah Winfrey will dedicate a show to her late dog Sophie at the end of this week.

I totally get where she is coming from and think it is a wise move and quite touching.  "Sophie gave me 13 years of unconditional love. She was a true love in my life," Winfrey says on the broadcast scheduled to air Friday.  That show will also touch on puppy mills and the problems with the over breeding of dogs.

Thursday's show will be a shocker for many. Thomas Beatie is a transgender man that claims he is five months pregnant and he wrote a detailed article for the Advocate and even released a photo to go along with it to prove his claim.  While many believed that it might be a hoax, it appears to be real.

A full color photo of the bare chested man with his pregnant belly is here.  Oprah's trailer shows the TV star patting Beatie's stomach and Beatie undergoing an ultrasound as Oprah asks: "Is the world ready for this?" Beatie had his sex change ten years ago and at the time had his breasts removed so of course there will be no breast-feeding of the baby.  Many people are curious, shocked and some are outraged.  Oprah will have her hands full.
