American idol gives back and the show is bringing in all the stars to make certain that happens and that includes Brad Pitt, though it doesn't sounds as if he brought along his better half, Angelina Jolie. But even without Angelina, the star struck folks that attended the show's taping still loved Brad Pitt, and of course everyone loves to joke about their adoptions.

Perhaps now some of them will go and buy tickets at the box office for his films. According to a report from Us Weekly magazine they spoke with someone that was in the crowd at the taping and they went nuts when the Hollywood actor made his way on stage.

Pitt even allowed himself to get felt up for the event. According to a report from the magazine, Idol floor manager Debbie McVickers stopped the show because the actor's mic wasn't working and was delivering no sound. But she turned the dreaded glitch (good thing it was taped and not live) to her advantage and even lightened things up with a little humor.

As she tried to attach his mic, she joked, "I just needed a reason to touch him!" The report notes that Pitt, whose efforts to rebuild New Orleans were recognized on the show, then erupted out in laughter. Good sport Brad. Robin Williams got in the usual "Adopt me Brad and Angelina" as well. Earlier, Brad was furious with Jimmy Kimmel when he cracked on their adoptions.
